Treats of the Tent

Most come to the RV Show at Quartzsite for the all the goodies, gadgets, gizmos, gurus, and to gadabout. If you are new to RVing, or haven't been to an RV show in a long time, it's a good experience. Well, lets just say an experience. What fun it is to see the latest and greatest in sewer hoses, in-motion satellite dishes, water filters, plastic shelf liners, toad hitch bars, all types of cleaners, wax and deodorizers, shocks and sway reducers, vacations resorts, sun shades, membership camping, generators, heated camp chairs, and GPS devices.

Then there's the usual swap meet delights like salsa makers, waterless cookware, dazzling jewelry, knives that cut nails, soup mixes, Red Hat accessories, doggie duds, rhine-stone studded t-shirts, cheese grators, personalized license plate holders, cheap sunglasses, silicone bakeware, cinnamon rolls, and rainbow twirly-gigs.
My highlight was a day of going to "town" with the guys who claimed they needed to find some special nuts, bolts, or some other piece of hardware that could only be found at the Tyson Wells swap meet. I found they had an ulterior motive!
The best buys of the day were the corn dogs smothered with mustard and the triple-scoop Thrifty-brand ice cream cones. I think they were really going for the food all along and boy was it good! They knew what they were shopping for and they know how to have fun.
